Sarah Sanders is stepping down after serving as the public face of the White House during some of the administration’s most contentious chapters.
It didn’t take long for Twitter to pounce on the news of Sarah Sanders’ upcoming exit from the White House.
President Donald Trump announced Sanders’ departure on Twitter, and various influencers and politicians quickly took to the social media platform either to offer their respect or celebrate the end of her 3 1/2-year run as press secretary.
“She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job!” Trump tweeted after saying Sanders would step down at the end of the June. “I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas – she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!”
Not everyone agreed on Twitter, though.
