Bruce Willis’s ex-wife Demi Moore made a surprise appearance to take part in the Comedy Central roast of Bruce Willis in Los Angeles.
Rumer Willis is opening up about a health scare that made her feel “trapped in a body that didn’t want to work with me.”
“I have been sick almost the entire month of August that started with food poisoning to then an unknown stomach problem where I haven’t been able to eat because when I do it feels like my stomach is on fire to the flu that turned into a sinus infection,” Willis said.
The actress/singer said the mysterious string of illnesses left her “helpless and scared and so utterly overwhelmed.” She added that she had a “full little kid meltdown…sobbing.”
“I felt like time was just drifting by and I was trapped in a body that didn’t want to work with me,” she wrote. “I have been in so much pain and kept trying to fight it and be angry and sad.”
Willis said she eventually came to realize that instead of listening to her body’s needs, she was consumed with “trying to control how I felt and when I felt it.”
She wrote, “I did some compassionate self forgiveness for any judgments I was holding against myself or my body for not behaving the (way) I wanted it to and really just allowed myself to be exactly where I was at and let go.”
Willis said she felt slight improvements almost instantaneously. “I woke up this morning feeling a little better and feeling much more integrated in myself because I was no longer at war within. I am by no means 100% yet but getting there,” she said.
The actress said she felt compelled to speak about her health journey because it’s important to highlight the good times just as much as the difficult moments because “we are all just doing the best we can with the tools we have.”
In honor of her 31st birthday, Willis vowed to let go of “mindsets, beliefs and old stories that no longer serve me” and encouraged her 700K followers to do the same.
Last month, Willis attended the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film,“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” She plays English actress Joanna Pettet, a friend of Sharon Tate, in the film.
