Forget “Do you want fries with that?”
Chris Hemsworth has the best teenage job story.
He appeared on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday night, where he and comedianKumail Nanjiani played a round of “True Confessions.”
Hemsworth’s confession? “My first job was cleaning out breast pumps.”
Fallon and Nanjiani had 45 seconds to ask questions, then had to decide if the “Thor” actor was telling the truth.
Nanjiani asked how old Hemsworth was: 14.
“It was repairing them as well, occasionally,” he added. “Any pump, you know, there’s a motor with a belt, like a rubber belt – fttt, fttt, fttt, fttt – for the suction.”
“Was this for human breasts or animal breasts?” Fallon asked.
In an Australian accent, even hearing someone explain, “Pharmacies would rent them out and they’d come back covered in dry milk” sounded less icky, even when Hemsworth talked about cleaning the pumps with a toothbrush.
Nanjiani decided the actor was telling the truth. “If it’s not, he’s a psychopath.” Fallon guessed it was a lie inspired by Hemsworth’s upbringing around animals on the Outback, even convincing Nanjiani to change his mind.
“It was the truth,” the actor said with a laugh, prompting Nanjiani to ask the last burning questions: “Do the women who used these breast pumps now know that Chris Hemsworth once cleaned out their breast pumps, and can you buy them on eBay?”
